Ack, this is actually suppose to be yesterday's post but there was something wrong with my LAN and I kept getting booted off. Did pretty good yesterday, went to work (and coughed my way through the day) and managed to stick to the meal plan EXCEPT when I mindlessly popped a piece of chocolate in my mouth! I didn't even realize what I'd done until a few hours after the fact!!! I'd like to blame the illness but truthfully all the MINDLESS eating is likely how I ended weighing what I do now! Ruby - if you're still reading the forum, know that we're still with you and we'll still be here when you come back. Ivana - out to buy groceries for next week ... Week 1 is almost done ladies! ;D

I know week one is almost over! Congrats on making it this far. I caved in to Halloween last night and ate sooo many M&M's. I hated myself for it...why is it so hard to just stick to plan? I know people who say...okay I really need to lose some weight and they just do it. It drives me crazy that I give in so easily. So starting over again today. Today I guess is now officially my Day 1. Geesh. Well I guess I could say I gave the past 5 days a trial run and I know my weaknesses and have a good idea on how to plan out the days. I should be well prepared now!!!!
Hope everyone is feeling a little better. My 2 1/2 yr old was totally terrified of my nieces last night with all their face paint on. So we went to one house and and she just wanted me to hold her. Next year I am sure she will be a little better. It was officially her first scary Halloween experience.
Well, signing off for now...hope everyone's weekend is a successful, on plan weekend!

Saturday...what can I say? I knew that this was going to be my hardest day... even though I planned on waking up early, I didn't - so that threw off my entire eating plan..had the breakfast, ate the protein for the midsnack (at 1:00)...and met a friend to see the new Boy George musical, "Taboo" which was interesting to say the least. The new songs are terrific, the actors are talented...and sadly, it seemed like Boy George just 'phoned it in'... I HATE when that happens! Maybe he was just having an 'off' day..we all have them. All in all, I liked it...needs some work though. When I walked out of the theatre, I was a raving maniac - starving! SO I CAVED IN.... and in New York that's SO easy to do... I ate a small bag of Salsa flavored Doritos and a coke... I know, I could've gone for a number of things but that's what I chose...crazy, huh?... My goal tomorrow is to get to the grocery store before they block off the streets for the marathon. FreshDirect.com was supposed to deliver my groceries but because of the marathon they're being rerouted and will be delayed..blah, blah, blah...
RUBY... DO NOT GIVE UP!...When I was laid off my job, I found it to be a very stressful time in my life (duh)..and I ate ALL of the wrong things to 'feel better'... I could've saved money and felt better by making better grocery choices. You still have to eat so you might as well shop the perimeter of the grocery store where you can save money rather than give in to more convenience type foods. Try stocking up at a super store (costco, BJ's, etc) on large packages of chicken and turkey, you'll save money, really....PLEASE stick with us. WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU!

Well, I'm now off the plan . . . my doctor told me I should wait at least another week (until I'm well) before starting the program since my body needs to recoup from the illness (assuming the meds he gave me today actually work like they're suppose to!) so I guess I'll be on "Week One" when everyone else is on "Week Three" then . . . Ivana - on temporary leave from the mission . . . but this doesn't mean I'll be going overboard either

hello ladies, I did okay yesterday a few slips but not horrible, today was okay, tommorow will do extra cardio to make up. feel really good the majority of the week was sucessful. Tamara, way to go 3lbs gone good for you for as crappy as you have felt. sasha don`t worry healthier choices will become a habit more frequently than our old.keep trying I think it takes 30 days or 30 times of doing something before its a habit. raven thats so cool you get food delivered, that will keep you from buying no-no foods if you don`t see it,its easier to pass on. ivana just take care of yourself it does`nt matter what number we`re on I`m on like week 18.. hang in there everyone,I`ll be weighing on monday,I hope you all find sucess

Tinkerbell, checking in...Even though I still don't have my plan, I've been trying to eat as though I've already started, and it's made me realize even more how I don't eat right. I blew it yesterday without even thinking about it! I took the kids bowling and ate breakfast pizza and Pepsi, then munched on some candy. But it's amazing how guilt sets in rather quickly, and that greatly diminishes the taste of the food.
Today I'm going to go shopping for some chicken and no-salt things to prepare a little for when my program arrives, which hopefully will be tomorrow. I found a sodium free chicken broth by Wyler's, and no-salt added tomato sauce.
My kids have separated their Halloween candy into a "Mom" and "Dad" pile, and mine has NO temptations for me at all. They're taking all chocolate and gummies to their Dad's house, thankfully.
I'm off to have breakfast with my kids....I should just stay home so I don't blow it so early in the morning!! I think after my program arrives, we just won't eat out anymore at all....then I won't be tempted so much! But for now, I'll just pray for strength and to keep the bacon away!
Tinkerbell...signing off for now!!

Last day of Week ONE
Well, my weekends are definitely mined with hazards. Although I could foresee the pitfalls in my plan, I wasn't fully aware of them until I was faced with the worst enemy of all... my love of sleeping in. This has proved to be a disaster for my eating schedule - it throws everything off. It's now 2:55 and I've still to eat lunch - only because I ate my snack an hour or so ago. Geesh! I'm going to try to make the turkey sausage in a few minutes - give myself a break from chicken.
BTW. I sent Dolores at Provida an email asking about rice pasta. I had found some at a health food store - De Boles is the brand. Anyway, she says it's alright but she thought it tasted too processed and you have to really watch your intake. I bought a box just to taste... need something quick and it might be a welcome change of pace. I'll keep you posted.
Hope everyone is doing okay this weekend. Tomorrow is looming large in my mind... keeping my fingers crossed!
Talk to you later. Raven...signing out.

raven i agree tommorow is lurking in my mind also , I had a good day to day did 40min of cardio, had to eat out but made wise choices, tinkerbell, the first 3weeks of the plan I refused to eat out I carried a little cooler with me and you really get used to that. so it may be a good idea not to eat out if thats your temptation. I hope all are well, dutchess candy

Hello again, ladies! Dutchess....I'm so glad you said that about the cooler....my big weakness is going out to eat....I always say we're going to quit going out, but we don't. When my kids ask, "what's for dinner" I usually say "whatever you order from the menu." I think now I'm just going to put my foot down and stay home! I think it will be just a matter of being prepared, and not having to take the easy, lazy way out. I love coming to this site and reading what everyone else is going through. Hope you all had a nice weekend! Goodnite!

Sunday night!
I feel like crap having my period over the weekend. I went off the pill when I had a bloot clot in my leg and over time the periods have just gotten worse. I never felt this crappy with them. I get really sleepy and extreme mood swings, super bloated and bad gas that gets stuck so my belly is uncomfortable all weekend!
Okay enough wining...back to work tomorrow...10hr shifts so I can get the week before Thanksgiving off. Hubby is going on a camping trip in Canada. I hope to lose 15lbs by Thanksgiving. That would be wonderful.
Keep up the good work ladies. I will check in tomorrow!

Hello Agents,
Even though I did not follow the food plan today in terms of amount, I still ended up roughly following the mini-meals schedule 'cause I found myself hungry every 2-3 hours! I also managed to always make sure I had a lean protein and limited carbs but I did put a bit of oil and salt back in the diet. I also weighed myself today just for the heck of it and found that I'd lost 5.8 pounds... even though most of it may have been due to the illness, it sure does feel good ;D

good morning agents,
even though I slip a little over the weekend and ate pizza for lunch on saturday and mc donalds for lunch on sunday. I really need to get a cooler.
But this morning I weighed in and lost 2lbs, which is a good start for the 1st week and I lost a inch and a half to 1 inch on my neck, waist, hips and thighs. I'm not too concern with my arms and calves they are pretty decent.
good congrats to those who survived the weekend and to those you have to take a temporary leave of absent don't worry we will continue to fight the forces of evil and await your return.
sky scheetz signing out....
