Hello Bond Girls, Ivana checking in for the day. Well, I found myself surrounded by the enemy around lunch time since I did not have time to cook rice this morning and decided I was going to get a plain baked potato and salad to go with the protein that I brought to work . . . the problem, of course, is that this meant I had to go to Wendy's since they were the only place I could think of with a cheap baked potato! All I have to say is this: FRENCH FRIES ARE EVIL!!!! And, as I'm sure you can all attest to, our ancient sense of SMELL has become the enemy's ally! However, I prevailed by thinking of how the baked potato would taste in my mouth and looking over at how much oil and salt was being used on the fries! Luckily I've got a strange father who doesn't really understand the concept of "salad" (he'll just start peeling the leaves from a head of iceberg lettuce and eating it plain) so eating a salad without any dressing is not new to me. (FYI most Chinese people don't eat raw veggies, which is why seeing "Chinese Chicken Salad" always makes me laugh... many of us are also at least semi-lactose intolerent... I didn't really eat salad until I was around 15 and I did not really start to like cheese [except on pizza!] until I studied abroad in Scotland my junior year in college... and I still don't like cheese on my salad! ) I also came close to ordering the spicy chicken sandwich (I love those) but I know myself well enough to only bring enough money to buy the salad and potato! On a different note, I am feeling somewhat better today. Thanks to everyone for the good vibes. I don't feel quite as fatigued but I've been having "coughing fits" so I did not get any exercising in today (except for the 12 minutes of extra walking from the trip to Wendy's ) Tomorrow will be a big test because I will have to go out of town for work and breakfast and lunch will be provided. I checked ahead and they have fruit at breakfast and lunch is a buffet so I plan on doing what I did today . . . bring my own protein . . . good thing I have an awesome thermos that will keep everything warm so I won't have a reheating issue even w/o a microwave! Hang in there everyone, we're 2/7 of the way through week 1 ;D Ivana - out (and apologizing for the longwinded monologue!)

Good Morning Agents!
How is everybody doing? Here we are on day 3 and it seems to be getting easier by the day. I am so proud of myself......I stayed on the diet all day yesterday without going off the plan at all. I must admit, around dinner time I was feeling weak and my husband told me he would cook dinner to keep me away from "other" foods in the house for my kids. He came up with a really great marinade for the chicken that is plan friendly and out of this world. I could eat my chicken like this even off the diet. It was so yummy. When he gets up this morning, he is going to write down the recipe for me and then I will come back here and tell you what it is. You have got to try it......I know I won't get sick of it....it tastes too good! So back to my mission.....I was able to dodge all the enemies yesterday and the good news is.....I lost another pound! I try not to weigh myself everyday, but in the beginning, I have to, to stay motivated. Well, I hope all of you fellow Agents are staying true to the plan, and keeping the enemies away. Good luck today. I'll check back in later.

Tamara - Yesterday was a bad day for me. The enemy tried to stab me in my back while I slept, but their footsteps woke me up and I was able to frighten them away. [no late night snack]
I will say though, they must have sprayed something in the air because I find myself this morning without a voice.
I am going to need to seek outside help to battle this [calling doctors] before I get worse.
Skinny: I'll be watching for that soup recipe. I sure could use it right now on my sore throat!
Raven: Thanks for keeping tabs on me. I thought my flu shot I had last month was going to help, but afraid I still got hit with something nasty. So nasty that the whole family has it. *sighs*
Duchess: Are you having problems signing in? Let me know. I deleted the one message you had posted because it was repeated about 5 or so times under the name of "checking in".
Everyone, I am very very proud of you. It isn't easy to change old eating habits, but together we can do this.
Keep up the great work!
Tamara signing out for now..

I'm back!
My husband Paul wrote down the recipe for us that I promised you. Go on our "Bond Girls" recipe site and look for: Paul's Astonishing Chicken Marinade. You will love it. It is soooooo good.
Dutchess Candy: I have a Halloween challange too, but I have an idea. I am having a Halloween party for my daycare kids tomorrow, and I am going to plan my meals, so that my afternoon snack is at the same time as the party. That way I can nibble on my snack and not worry about "cheating" on the bad stuff. It's worth a try anyway. I hope it works.
Tamara: I so hope you feel better soon. This diet is a challenge in itself, without being sick on top of it. I sure hope your doctor can give you something to kick it out of your system. I truly hope you are feeling better soon, so you can enjoy all the fun we are all having this week. My thoughts are with you secret agent!
Ivana: Glad to hear you're feeling better today and GREAT JOB on being strong with all those enemies tempting you at lunch time! Keep up the strength to stick to the plan. You will be glad you did. It's such a nice feeling to go to bed at night and saying to yourself "good job kid, you stuck to the plan all day....now let's do it again tomorrow!"
Keep smilin' girls........we're doing it!!!!

hi everyone....my 10-yr. old daughter is home from school today, and I was explaining to her what "The Bond Girls" is, and she told me I need a better codename, that the "last ditch" thing was not cool. So we decided on Tinkerbell because she looks cute in a skirt, and she makes magical things happen. I'm still waiting on my program in the mail, but I've been drinking lots of water and walking my treadmill. Keep up the good work everyone! I can't wait to actually join you all in doing the program!!

Hello Everyone!
Sky here...checking in for day 3...
Ivana - You're doing great! I hear you about the Spicy Chicken Sand. that's my fav Wendy's sandwich! Evil, evil, evil! Glad you are feeling better and good luck with you out of town adventure. It sounds like you have a good handle on the situation!!
Skinny Camper - I will have to check the recipe out. I think that's really great that your hubby is so supportive, he rocks!! Congrats on dodging the enemy!
Tamara - I'm sorry to hear that you lost your voice. I hope that things go well at the doctor and that you get to feeling better soon. Good for you for making such a big effort to stick with things. I know it's got to be difficult when you don't feel well!
Dutchess - I know you can do it! You're doing awesome and just keep telling yourself this...
"Never trade what you want at the moment for the thing you want MOST."
That's my own motivational quote, I can't remember where I read it but it helps me. Good luck and I have faith in you!
Jan - No worries, we're a patient group and we're here for you!
Tinkerbell - You're doing great - keep it up!
Everyone - I hope Day 3 goes well for all! Thanks for all the support and encouragement! I need it. True it does take small changes and I'm working on it but I figure that even if I slip a little on the eating end if I still walk and work out then I'm ahead of the game. Still working on sticking with things 100%. Going out to lunch yesterday was a minor disaster, not that I ate terribly, that they were short staffed and it took 25 mins to get our food and I was starving so I think my portions were skewed but it's ok, I passed on the evil french fries and had salad instead! I DID accomplish one of my mission and measured. That was a minor rude awakening but also motivating in a strange way!
Sorry to be so long winded!
Day 3 Mission: Stick to plan on eating to see if I have the willpower!
Have a great day all! Thanks for being here!
Sky out...
this message will self-destruct in 5.... 4... 3.. 2... 1...........KABOOOOOM! ;D

hello everyone,
well the 1st day turn out good until around 6pm. I started to feel sick because I thought my body was craving salt and sugar so I ate a half of pop tart. and i must admit I felt better.
other than that little slippage. I'm pushing forward. I have been going by the fast track menu this week, but will definitely mix it up next week because scrambling egg whites in tsp of water is UHHHGG!!
I have been doing great on water. I have been tossing make 100oz so far. I will do my 1st weigh in next monday. I hope to see results.

I get those 'cravings' too and when it happens I know that water just isn't going to cut it. Last night when I felt that way, I went into the kitchen and took out a few little pieces of chicken - I don't know if it was just the act of eating something or the protein but I was okay after that.... I figure a little extra protein would be better than a bag of chips.

Sky Scheetz and Raven, The next time you feel sick from being too hungry..... you can also try putting a few drops of lemon or lime in your water. That helps take the edge off for me and it makes the water go down easier at the end of the day when your taste buds are looking for a different taste to drink. Chicken was a really great choice instead of potato chips. I'm proud of you! Way to go!

(Caution: Longwinded Message Ahead!) Hello Bond Girls, Ivana reporting in for the day. Shira, Selinda, Jan, Asia, Sngglebune, Lorie and any other newbies out there - Welcome! We are so happy that you, too, have accepted the mission ;D Tinkerbell - I adore that name, sounds like you've got your own little mini support group there in the 10 year old BTW, we originally got our Bond Girl names from a link that Tamara sent us to (I'm not actually original enough to come up with anything on my own!) I'll add it down below in case anyone is interested. Tamara - Hope you (and your family!) are all feeling better! (not actually a kiss from me since a kiss from me would likely add whatever it is I have to what you have! ) dutchess - Your multiple postings actually helped me out 'cause it made me be careful with my trigger finger when I hit that "Post" button and didn't see any results right away... so I thank you! sky scheetz - I find that eating a slightly sweeter fruit (like a peach or an apple) helps keep the dizziness away and remember that even though we can't have added salt, sodium is found naturally in many foods... one of the reasons why I keep grape or cherry tomatoes in my fridge to use as part of my snacks (and I just wanted to throw out there that even though it's listed as a Veggie A, tomatoes are fruits not veggies!!!! ) Skinny Camper and Sky - Thanks for the support, however, I'm afraid I didn't fully earn it today... please read on... Had my cover blown today and have 3 wounds, nothing serious that I can't recover from but wounds nonetheless. Everything was going okay this morning except I had to get up earlier so I had breakfast earlier and instead of eating my snack in the car as I had intended, I left the bag with the food in the trunk! So by the time I got to the site and set everything up, I was STARVING. And it's a good thing I brought my own fruit as well as protein since all they had at the breakfast buffet was those lovely pastries that I love so much and doughnuts!!! However, I was able to stave off the knaves (even though I really really REALLY love unglazed filled croissants and danishes and . . . oops, don't want to throw out any more temptations to everyone else! ) Even though I was able to be "good" at breakfast and for the mid-morning snack, since I had the snack so late I ended up being "off" for the rest of the day. For some reason I thought they would have non-bread carbs at the lunch buffet but since they didn't, I suffered my first real wound by having a small piece of bread . . . and then going back for another small piece of bread The mid-afternoon snack went okay 'cause I left early since I wasn't feeling too well (probably partly from guilt but mostly because the wind has been blowing like crazy and I had to keep going back and forth to the car for materials!) and this time I remembered to put the bags on the front seat. I got back about an hour or so earlier my usual dinnertime but I was feeling fairly fatigued and I knew I'd be a mess if I waited another hour so I had dinner and then promptly fell asleep, which is NOT good for digestion I did feel much better after sleeping though but I had all of these food cravings when I woke up (I fell asleep with the TV on so I'm think it was the subliminal messages from the commercials!! ) I settled on having 1/2 grapefruit as my evening snack since one of the things I was craving was citrus (I won't mention the others since I do not want to be the one responsible for broadcasting subliminal messages to the other agents! ). As I was preparing to post I thought I only had 2 wounds . . . then I realized that I was probably feeling highly out of it 'cause I didn't drink enough water today!!! Even though I had lots of tea and broth, it's just not the same as that wonderful H2O. ;D Hang in there everyone we're almost 1/2 way through the week and we're all still here! Ivana out (or rather, off to drink some TheraFlu!) Oh, and here's the name link www.moviefone.com/features/standAlone.adp?page=bondname

Hello Bond Girls, Shira checking in for today. The 3rd day is like trying to get over that hump. I felt hungry by 4pm today at work. However, I did not let that evil attack me today. I came close to eating a chocolate candy bar. So what I did was grab my water an indulge and day dream about an romantic island. It seem to work after I had drunk about 32 oz of water I was'nt hungry. Ivana: I found myself also surround by the enemy at work. We have a basket of halloween candy and I walk by it everyday... so tempting.... Skinny: Your chicken marinade sounds so mouth watering. I going to give it a try. Tamara: Sorry to hear that you're still sick. I hope you're feeling better soon. Dutchess Candy: I have a halloween challenge too, tommorow I'm taking my daughter to a fall festival. The kids will be nibbling on their favorite piece of candy. Jan: Don't worry we are patient. I too sometimes have trouble logging my info too. Tinkerbell: Drinking lots of water seems to be one of the key elements. Also changing your eating habits and exercising. Keep up the good work. SkyLaRue: I like your quote, "Never trade what you want at moment for the thing you want most" Raven and Sky Scheetz: I had the same cravings on day 2. When I had drunk my water with a little lemon that stop my cravings for salt and sugar. Let's remember we all have a goal to achieve. We can do it! Thanks for the support fellow agents. Have a great day. SHIRA signing out
