Hi Everyone *hugs* I am so proud of you. Dutchess, no matter what name you use, we're just glad you're here! Well, seems I am fighting the same cold I had last winter. I have to get my antibiotics yet, but in the meantime, they gave me meds for my other problems. 1. stronger water pills for my Edema. I have to watch my potatssium now. 2. laxative meds for my 2 hemoroids and because the stool softner wasn't working. 3. strong cough syrup to help me with sore throat hopefully. Basically, I have to go back in 2 months, and have to watch for a possible case leading towards diabetes and congestive heart failure if I don't get the weight off. Now if that isn't something to make this a serious time in my Mission control. Trying to think what I could eat, I went off my list a bit and had meatloaf [sirloin] and frozen mash potatoes and jello. You have to keep in mind, that I am drinking oodles of water too what with how my body is behaving right now. My husband has a cold too, but I am still stuck with the chores though he stayed home from work. Would have been nice if he would have taken up the helm. Oh well. My 9 yr old woke me up 3 times this morning, and I need to get some rest, so I'll close for now. It's 4:01am. Keep me in your thoughs and prayers, and keep on track, if you need any reason, tell yourself so you never get as bad as Tamara is right now. The good news is sunday I go back to the sleep clinic to get my oxygen for my obstructive sleep apnea. Hopefully things will get better. Until next time.. *hugs to tall* Tamara signing out for now.

Good Morning Fellow Secret Agents!
Skinny Camper here just checkin' in for the day. I am so happy. This is getting easier by the day. I stuck to the plan 100% yesterday again and when I woke up this morning....I was 6 lbs. down! I haven't seen under the 200 mark in a long time. I got to change my avatar finally too! That's an average of 2 lbs. a day....I'll take it!! I certainly hope the rest of you are having great success too. One of my daycare parents said she noticed a big difference on me this morning. That sure made me feel great! Now all I have to do, is dodge the enemy today. The enemy will be at my house full force today because today is my Daycare Halloween party. There are oodles and oodles of cupcakes (some with chocolate frosting) and home made chocolate chip cookies, ice cream and all kinds of candy! By the way, my 13 year old daughter did all the baking for me so I wasn't tempted. I stayed out of the kitchen last night and burnt scented candles to take the chocolate chip cookie smell out of the house! I was able to stay away from it last night, so now I just need to stay away from it today. I have planned my afternoon snack for the same time as the party, so I can nibble on my chicken and cucumber slices and hopefully not be tempted. Wish me luck!
Tamara: Wow, you certainly have your hands full. Hopefully your cold/flu will go away with the meds and you will be up and about soon. I will be here if you need any extra support. You can do this.
Everyone else: I am with you too for support. Have a great (and successful) day and I will check in with you folks later. I have a very busy day ahead of me.
Now, to fight off those enemies!!! I think I'll hide behind my water bottles!!!!
Skinny Camper, over and out.

Ruby nightlong - I know how you feel about your kit taking so long because mine was the same way. Try calling them and getting the tracking # maybe your local fed-ex delivered it to the wrong zipcode which happen with mine.
I have been sticking to the fast track menu this week, but I find myself craving for sugar or salt around 8pm. I seem to start having headaches so I did ate a half for pop tart but other than that I have been doing well.
I am finishing off 100oz of water each day. For as excersise goes I don't really care for the bands so I have been using "The Firm" tapes with the fanny lifter for my cardio. I'm due to weigh in on monday. I'm hoping to see results.
good luck to you all.

Tinkerbell here, checking in...still waiting for the program to arrive....very frustrating. Dutchess-I have Halloween parties to go to also, and I bought sugar-free gum to take with me, because when I have something minty in my mouth, it ruins the taste of most foods....like how you don't like to eat after brushing your teeth because your mouth feels clean. Make sense? It works for me. (I also can't drink beer when I'm chewing minty gum.) I bought "Extra" sugar-free in Wildberry Frost flavor. I checked the label, and there's no sodium. Hope it helps. Since I haven't officially started yet, I guess there's nothing to report. My 10-yr old daughter, Kayla, helped me with my measurements, and WOW! was that a reality check! I did do a Walk-Away-The-Pounds video tape yesterday. (measuring myself was my inspiration...) It was 1-mile, and took 15 minutes. Is that enough of a cardio workout? It sure felt like it! I have 3 tapes...the 1,2 & 3 mile, but 1-mile is all I can stand at the moment. Ivana-hope you're feeling better soon! It's hard to be sick and still have to be functional for the family. Try to get some rest!! Ruby-I know the feeling of impatience on waiting for that kit!! I've been waiting more than a week.

Ruby and Tinkerbell, You're kit will be here before you know it. My kit took almost two weeks to arrive but when it did....it was like getting a Christmas present. It was so much fun to sit and put the kit together (with the video instructing me). The reading of the kit will inspire you and get you really motivated.
Tinkerbell: Where did you get the walk-away-the-pounds video tapes? Who makes them? They sound like fun. I'll have to look for them, I'd love to try them.
Best of luck girls! Got to run. Lots to do today!
Skinny Camper, over and out.

Hi Skinny Camper... I bought the Walk-Away-The-Pounds videos at Walmart...I bought the 3-video set for $20. I came with an exercise band too. The lady on the cover is Leslie Sansone. They're really nice, because you don't have to have equipment or anything. And you can make them harder or easier by doing bigger movements. The 1-mile is 15-min, 2-mile is 30-min, etc. I've never done the 3-mile. I hope to get to that. Now that I'm looking at the video, it's actually called Walk Away the Pounds for Abs. Not sure why, because it's all just walking, side-stepping, and knee lifts. Hope that helps!!

Morning everybody!
Day Four... and I'm now into my snack - egg whites and fruit (pineapple and grapefruit).
Everybody sounds like they're really out there living their lives like a mission. We are really doing this! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? THIS IS AWESOME! AND... I could NEVER do this without reading all of your posts. Even as we struggle with our food, cravings, etc, I'm so impressed by how much everyone redetermines to do it right the next time!
Ruby & Tink - I also have the Leslie Sansone tapes and will start doing them this week.
I haven't starting doing the bands yet - my hideout (my teeny tiny postage stamped sized apt in Manhattan) doesn't have a door that has a clear path before or after it. I heard that it's okay to use hand weights instead - has anyone heard or read that on the Provida site?
Well, I'm working undercover right now.... must run before I am found out.

Hi Everyone! How are you all doing today? Thought I would just say that I'm Princess_Jen from the Provida site, because I noticed we have another Jen. And is it too confusing if I sign mine Sky when it says SkyLaRue on the post side?? Tamara - You and your family are in my thoughts and I really hope you feel better soon! Hang in there! Skinny - I'm thinking of you and hoping that you do well at your Halloween party! How awesome is it that one of your daycare parents noticed a difference in you! That's got to be a huge motivator! You'll do great!! Sky Scheetz - The gum idea is great. I've been using those Eclipse Flash strips, they don't have any sodium either and after you put one of those on your tongue you don't want to eat anything because it would taste terrible!! Great idea! I read something on the boards that the reason you get headaches in the first week or so is because your body is detox-ing and that causes headaches. You might do a search on the boards to see if there were any suggestions! You're doing awesome! Tinkerbell - I have the Walk Away The Pounds Super Challenge 4 mile DVD that I got at WalMart also. Talk about kicking your can. I did the 4 miles once. I felt like my legs were going to fall off. The good thing about the program is that you can do as much as you feel like doing. 1-2-3-or 4 miles. Whatever you feel strong enough to do. The reading material for the 6WBM says that any walking you do at your target heart rate after 60 minutes (I think I don't have the book in front of me) is burning strictly FAT!! But the recommendation is at least 30-45 mintues 4 to 5 times a week at you thr! Ivana – The fact that you are trying and making the effort means you DESERVE our support. We are in this struggle with you! Whether or not you stick to plan the whole day! You’re doing great because you are making changes and they will show later because it’s one step at a time right!! I’ve walked off and left me entire days worth of meals sitting in the refrigerator and cussed myself silly all day knowing that I wouldn’t be able to stick to plan but I did the best I could with what I had to work with as you did and you are doing great!! Keep it up! And I hope you feel better soon! Shira- Good for you for avoiding the evil chocolate bar!! I’m glad you liked the quote, if it helps motivate someone else too then I will share all the quotes I repeat to myself over and over and over again! Because I don’t want to trade liking what I see in the mirror for that piece of cake or whatever tempting treat is staring me in the face that will only end up applying itself to my hips!! Dutchess – You’re welcome and you’re not alone we are all here to help you and keep you motivated! Let us know if you need anything!! Raven – I like the Walk Away The Pounds tapes because you can do them in your own home. The weather here just turned nasty so it helps to exercise inside! You can do it and it’ll be worth it when you start! You’ll figure out the band situation. You could post that question on the Provida site and find out if you can use hand weights. I’m not sure. Anyone else I missed - sorry!! Yesterday went well until dinner – then the evil demon Pizza entered my life. I admit I had some. But I am back on the wagon again this morning thanks to all the motivating message I read from you! Thank you all so much for being here to help keep me motivated! I appreciate you all! Have a wonderful and successful day! Sky – aka Jen - over and out

Sky, There's a pizza recipe on the Provida site that looks really interesting. The crust is made with the oat flour (ground up oatmeal), egg whites and water. I'll send you the recipe when I get home. I wanted to try it last weekend but got too busy. I will try to make it this weekend and will let you know. Hang in there!

Tamara here, I am so proud of all of you. Sunday I will be getting my oxygen mask so hopefully I will be sleeping better. Today I go back to the drs at 4pm as this cold is making my throat raw. Then to top it off, I get a call about my 9 yr old having problems at recess. *sighs* I told them I would sign a concent for "time out", but also asked they call my husband at work. I am too sick to deal with this on my own. I have The Firm and Leslie Sansone tapes. Hopefully when I get better I can get cracking on those too. Well going back to bed. Keep up the great work everyone! I am so proud of you! Tamara signing out for now.

hi everyone, well the evil demon got the best of me at lunch today One of my co-workers has a birthday today and we went to a restaurant for lunch. I thought I could get through it, avoiding the demons. I order grill chicken, salad, bake potatoe and unsweeten tea. Things were going along well until they brought those fresh smelling, nicely rounded rolls...oh the shame!! I couldn't help myself so I ate 2 and then on top of that I ate just a piece of birthday cake!! I will definitely have to make up for that, so i'm telling myself now is if I sit here and drink this 33oz bottle of water it will flush all the bad demons out. (wishful thinking) AND I will do a 30min cardio workout with "the firm" cardio tape after work. I guess I will have to put on my super shield the next time I go out to a restaurant.

Afternoon ladies. Today is a new day for me. I messed up a bit day 2 and 3 so today is officially my new day 1. Nobody is perfect, so I am not stressing too much over it, but I feel good today.
Sky-I have the firm tapes and I love them. I should start them up again. I also like the Walk Away The Pounds. They are fun.
I am getting ready to babysit for my sister so I am packing my lunch and snack to take with me so no evil demons can make their way in...and her house is loaded with them with 3 kids!!!!
Take care everyone....WE ARE DOING THIS!!!

Sasha - I love the firm tapes but I haven't been using them on a regular because quit frankly those tapes scare me. There is no cheating with those tapes!! It is truly a workout and if you get through one of those tapes afterwards you feel really great. Its getting through one of them. And the fanny lifter is no joke!! But I will incorporate them into my workout more regularly. I like the fact that you have a tape for upper body, lower body, abs and cardio, that way you can pick what part of you body you want to work on that day and not have them thrown all into one workout. Good luck with the babysitting tonight especially with those demons because they have 3 little crusaders working with them tonight. I will telepathically send you some extra strength for this one.

Hello Angels..I mean my special Agent friends. *grins* Well, the doctor gave me more meds and a pneumonia shot as well.
As I sit here breaking out in sweats I have no thought for food and such. But I did try to force more water down.
I am looking forward Sunday when I get my oxygen mask, hopefully I will wake up more refreshed and will be able to keep up with all of you physically wise.
I was watching the news and they were talking about halloween and how some states don't have it where you are protected against who are sex offenders in your neighborhood. So they said to go to search for Michigan State Police to look it up.
I was brought to ease when I noticed my neighbhorhood was not a problem.
I think if you have that type of concern, you might want to do a search for that under your State. Never hurts to be aware.
Well, my husband and son just got back with dinner. *groans* Pizza. My throat hurts too much to eat, so won't have to worry about cheating on this.
I'll write more later, one thing I do want, is my meds he picked up for me.
Have a great night and Keep up the great work ladies!
Tamara signing out for now.
