Hi everyone
This week I have lost 1 pound. l am not losing a lot at the time but I am losing consistantly. And it is showing in my face and my legs and waist and in the way that my clothes fit. So again I am not losing a lot at the time but I am getting the rewards from the slow way that I am losing the weight.
There are other benefits from losing weight. With everything that I am doing for myself. the exercising , quitting smoking, and eating more fruits and veggies, my skin looks better, I am not huffing and puffing as much, my recovery time from doing an intense workout, like pushing the mower or doing a 4 mile walk, is only about a minute.
loss for this week=1 pound
total loss=29 pounds

Audra, you are doing a fantastic job. Look at how much weight you've lost! And, as you say, weight loss aside, there are all of those other positive things, too. You've been steady with your exercise, have truly made that a habit. What a good habit to have! I wish that I were as dedicated as you are.
I actually lost weight in spite of myself this week. All that housework, I guess, did the trick. I didn't believe the scale, though. I stepped on it three times, then told one of the employees (the one that knows I've been "trying" to lose weight - I use the word "trying" very loosely as I don't feel I have been making much effort in months) I didn't think the scale was right. She checked it out, and said it was right, so I stepped on it twice more before I decided it must be right, since every time it read the same thing. So, that said, I have somehow managed to lose 4 pounds in the last week. I'm down to 254 now, which is a total loss of 31 pounds.
If I get back to my exercising, I should maybe be able to hit my goal of losing 40 pounds total by the end of the year.
In terms of what you were talking about, Audra, noticing how much smaller you are looking, and even needing to buy new clothes (yay, I was so happy for you!) - I don't see that in me. In fact, I think I look bigger, though the scale shows smaller. Of course, being so much heavier to start with, as I was, it is going to take a much bigger weight loss to get to that point for me.

WOW Jasmine, Your body is losing weight even when you are not "trying". I've told you before housework is very hard. And when you do it thorough, then you get a good work out. Congratulations and keep it up, And I can't wait to see what happens when you start trying to lose weight.
