Good Morning
I just finished up a 4 mile walk. I have done it so much now that I don't have to hear what she says so this morning I turned the volume down and then put on some music with a fast beat. It really seemed to add a little oooommmmppphhh to my movements.
I miss walking in the afternoon with my dh. I am going to see if I can get my sister or a neighbor to go walking with me. Maybe someone is just waiting for an invitation to go with me. I like walking outside, the fresh air is so good for a person. But I don't like to walk by myself cause even in a small rural area like i live in there are still bad people. And there is safety in numbers.
Menu for the day
breakfast- oatmeal, juice
lunch-salad
supper-since dh is not going to be here I might just fix another salad instead of cooking something.
snack-trail mix
exercise-4 mile walk and a 2 mile walk either outside in the fresh air or a two mile tape.
Have a good day everyone
I will check in later

well, I never did get my exercising in yesterday. My boss sent me out running errands from the time I picked princess up from school until after 5pm. By then, I had to get dinner started because hubby gets home at 6pm. I wasn't pleased with that, but there are times when you just have to do what the boss wants... I was so tired last night, I actually went to bed at 9pm. Sheesh! Today, I am having cocoa wheats for breakfast. I'm out of oatmeal, and wanted something warm and filling. I'm not sure what I am going to have for lunch. Hubby took most of the leftovers for his lunch today. I don't have any salad fixings, either. Guess I need to get to the store, but that will have to wait until the weekend. Maybe I will just spring for a chicken salad from McD's to have along with my squash of the day (I'm thinking I'll try the buttercup today). I got a roast out of the freezer, but I might just cook that up into meat for chimichangas, then freeze it for later. I have loaves of sub dough in the freezer, and hubby was thinking homemade meatball subs sounded good for dinner tonight. He doesn't usually request anything in particular, so I likely will make that, adding extra veggies to mine. As for exercising, I'm not going to let anything stop me from doing them today. I'm going to do the three mile and the stretch tape as soon as we get back from school this afternoon. And I have a project to work on, too, that while not formal exercise, will still keep me moving. I have to sort out all of the girls' clothes, taking out summer stuff, then get the fall/winter clothes out of the attic. I have two dressers on the porch waiting to be moved to my bedroom. They are replacing two that are in the room already. I have one of the old ones emptied out already, just have to empty the other out, then move my jewelry box, move the two older dressers out, and put the new ones in, then get them filled up. I won't get all of that done tonight, and I can't move the "new" dressers upstairs by myself anyway. They are actually older than what I have now, but the ones I have now are modern, made out of pressboard, and are warped, etc. The "new" ones were hand made in the '50's, and are solid hardwood. Sturdy, but very heavy. The long drawers on the chest are even cedar-lined, with lids. The psychiatrist who comes to see our residents gave them to me. (she also gave me a long, two shelf display cabinet with heavy glass doors on both sides. I don't have room for it here, so I'm putting it in the attic, but someday, I will use it to display some of my Barbies. ;D) The dressers used to belong to her grandmother, so she wanted someone to have them that she knew would take care of them. They are black lacquer, with a bit of gold trim. The finish is a little beat; considering the age, though, they are not in bad shape at all, and since they are such good quality, we think down the road we will strip them and refinish them. Anyway, sorry to ramble on about them. I'm just happy to have something so nice, you know? Well, I need to get to work. Have a good day. Talk to you later.

Jasmine that furniture sounds like something that I would love to strip and varnish. They don't make furniture like that anymore.
The time is 1:48 pm
I had my oatmeal and my juice and a cup of trail mix. I just did not feel like eating anything heavy. I know that by 4 or 5 this evening I am going to be very hungry.
I am going to do some more exercising and then clean house just a bit and then fix an early supper.
I have been wanting krispy creme donuts today. It is a good thing that I don't have a way to get out cause I probably would already have some in my house.
I hope everyone is having a good day and is staying out of the donuts.

Krispy Kremes, eh? We don't have one of those nearby. My brother ended up taking baby and I out to lunch at the Steak & Skake. I had a salad, a cup of chicken gumbo, and half of a turkey sandwich. He had dessert - I opted not to have any, even though the pumpkin pie looked really good. I'm going to go do my exercising in about 30 minutes. My mom is picking princess up from school today, so I will be able to start a little early, which is not a bad thing. The dressers are really nice, Audra. I can't describe the shape of them well, but they aren't straight up and down. They curve out at the bottom. My dad thought the sides would be hollow at the bottom, with just a veneer over, because of the shape, but it is solid, nearly three inches thick at the widest point. Even the drawers have a bit of a curved shape to them, and you can tell by the grain of the wood that they were cut that way, not just bent that way, if you know what I mean. I think they are pretty in the lacquer, but I bet they would look nice stained, as well. Okay, I'm going to scoot. I need to get the living room picked up so I can exercise. Talk to you later!

I just finished up my exercising for the day. I did the three mile walk, then since I had some extra time (being able to start a little earlier helped there), I did 30 minutes of upper body toning with the resistance band, followed by the stretch tape. That's about 100 minutes (1 hour, 40 minutes) of exercise altogether, so that isn't bad. I can't do that every day, of course, but I feel really good right now, so I am glad I was able to fit a little extra in. Hubby is going to stop at the store on the way home to pick up some salad fixings and zucchini for me to fix with dinner. The dough is rising, so it will be ready to pop in the oven just before he gets home. Then it is just a matter of heating up frozen meatballs in some spaghetti sauce (my leftover homemade sauce). I'm going to have mushrooms on mine, as well. Yum. Well, I'm going to scoot. The girls are getting a little rowdy, and Princess has homework to do. Have a good evening. Hopefully I will be back before bed, but if not, I will "see" you all tomorrow!

Wow Jasmine that is really good. I am impressed. And when you do more than you thought you could, don't you just feel so proud of yourself?
When I do double exercises I usually do part in the morning and part in the evening. So I am even more impressed with your accomplishment.
About 2 pm I walked outside and I saw the leaves all over the yard. So I ran the mower over the front to pick up the leaves that was about 50 minutes. When i got through I fixed a nice tub full of water and some skin so soft. That was so relaxing. Then I fixed a huge salad with all kinds of healthy, low cal vegetables. I even put an apple in it, it was delicious.
I well check in again before I go to bed.
