I'm new. this is my story

Hello Ladies,

I am new to the boards and new to the diet world. I am currently 5'5" and weigh about 170. My goal weight is 135 lbs. I am 26 years old and am getting married next July. I am in massage therapy school and will graduate as a liscenced massage therapist, and certified polarity therapist in April. I quit smoking 10 weeks ago and am on a determined path towards whole life health. I have been through many many traumas in my life and often times feel like I am in my 40's, most of the women I can relate to are indeed in their 40's. It's hard sometimes to find the support that I need from women in my life of my age group. I am open to share more of my story if anyone has any interest in it. I look forward to interacting with you all.

I quit smoking on May 7, of this year. I was already trying to lose weight and I was determined I would not gain any weight back. If you need any help withthat then I know what you are going through.

Congratulations on getting married-no wait You are not supposed to congratulate the bride-I think you say best wishes, you are supposed to cogratulate the groom cause he is the one geting the prize. Best wishes to you.

I have also had a lot of traumatic things to happen and if you ever need to talk then I am here.

I will tell you a little about myself---

I turned 53 on Nov 4. and I have two children, oldest is 27 yr. old girl and a 25 yr. old son. Both married, and I have two grandchildren. Oldest 5 yr old boy and youngest 3 yr. old girl.

I have struggled with my weight all of my life, and have been on about 2 thousand different diets. For some reason this time it seems to be working. I really think it is because so many people my age are having haertattacks and strokes and it has scared me into eating better, lol.

I am glad you joined us here, this board really has helped me a lot by making me get a little more accountable for my eating habits. I hope that you can find support here that I have, and I hope you come back often.
