Sasha - boy does that chicken meal sound good! I did about the same thing, but my mother in law bought a roast. So I put red potatoes to boil for 1 1/2 hrs on the stove at the same time I put the roast in alluminum foil for 1 1/2 hrs. When that was done, I boiled carrots, and topped with a can of golden mushroom soup for sauce. I was good all day about what I ate, so am hoping that what I did eat worked with me losing weight. I'll know Saturday. Ivana - Good for you on your cardio! I think next time you will surprise yourself and ask for a doggie container and put the rolls and some of that pasta in there for you to take home, right? *winks* It does sound good though, but you're right, alot of carbs! Whether free or not, I am very proud of you picking roasted chicken for the meat. I take it you don't go out to eat often, so this was a treat for you, right? *smiles* Keep up the great work. Knowledge is power. The enemy can't hold you back as long as you use the tools you have been given to fight back. I am cheering for you! Raven - Gosh, I know how TOM can be! I get not only emotional, but I crave everything that isn't bolted down! *laughs* I am so proud of you though. You know, not everyone can say they are learning things about themselves. Some people just get busy in life and lose sight of their own needs. *smiles* That should make you feel proud that by learning what can and can't work, you're gaining back control and power that you had lost in the past. Keep up the great work. *hugs* Also thank you so much for the PM and moral support! I really appreciated it! I got the job from this interview today. Now I have one on Monday to see which is better. My husband and his mom brought up a good concern about when school is out and holidays who would watch the boys. So in fact, though I don't really want to work evenings, it is more feasible to do so. Tinkerbell - All we can do is take it day to day. One day at a time. This is a life style change, not a diet. If someone said to look at long range goals and not focus on reprograming our way of thinking, I would wonder. Because it is a matter of reprogramming what didn't work before now needs to be adjusted to make us better aware of what we eat, how stress effects our lives, and how to keep control of what we want out of life and how to get it. I am so proud of you to hanging in there. We're all behind you 100%. I know how laundry is. I am a stay at home mom going back into the workforce after 8 yrs. *laughs* I found out that one of the ladies I work with has MS. Now, if she can do it, we can do this right? *smiles* Keep up the great work Agents. I am proud of you all! Tamara signing out for now!

Hello Everyone!
Still a little new to the board, but just started my 4th membership book with a 1.8 lb loss - bringing my total to 65.8. Even after spending all my Flex Points over the weekend. But I did have an extra day this week.. Mother Nature and her fabulous wind knocked the power out at my meeting site, so I had to find a different meeting.
Now.. in 0.2 lbs, I lose 2 points off my daily total YIKES!! But, I will be at the minimum points that WW allows!!! Almost there! 6 lbs to the top of my goal weight range, and 10 lbs to my *actual* goal!
Holidays, schmolidays.. Bring 'em on! I lost weight all thru them last year, I'll do it again this year!
Take Care everyone! Good luck out there.. And just remember, you can *always*start over if you need to - just DON'T GIVE UP!!
~Gabrielle

First things first: Congratulations Tamara! ;D Well Agents, I did good today, however, I'm feeling very full at the moment even though I didn't eat more than I usually do ... I think it's from all that salt and carbs from yesterday! That'll teach me to cheat! Anyway, hope everyone's doing well and tomorrow I WILL reach that goal of "waking up at a normal time so I don't throw the plan off kilter!" Ivana - out (and planning on an "early to bed early to rise" attack

Tinkerbell, checking in.... Well, Saturday morning has arrived, and I'm feeling a new confidence in myself after a pretty good day yesterday...not perfect, but much better. I made egg whites and had 1/2 a grapefruit for breakfast, and am putting minty gum in my jeans pockets right now before I take my boys to their bowling league...they have great breakfast pizza there, and it always calls out to me!! So I'm arming myself before hand, and taking a big bottle of water with me. I'm supposed to go out with some friends tonight, and I know I'm going to be very tempted to drink...any suggestions? Is beer or wine or a mixed drink best? I'd say I'm a beer drinker, but I'd rather sip on a mixed drink if that would be better. I always end up drinking water at bars anyway, so I'm not too worried about it, but any suggestions would be great. Thanks for your encouragement....especially Tamara! Gabrielle...where are you from? I'm asking because high winds knocked out my power several times this week....I'm from S.W. PA. I hope everyone has a great weekend!! ;D

Where is everyone? ?!? It's Sunday night, and I was surprised to come here and find that nobody had posted since my last one yesterday morning!! I hope everyone is okay!! My Saturday (yesterday) was prety successful as far as the program....the kids & I even went out to eat, and I just had salad and water. I used a little dressing...but very little, and I drank a ton of water, so I felt okay about it. Last night I went out with friends and had a few beers, but I also drank a lot of water, and spent today drinking water too. I've probably had 200-oz today....needless to say, I've been in the bathroom all day. I made some vegetable soup with no-sodium broth, and I found something called Nu-Salt at the store, which is sodium free. Tonight I was going to make the turkey meatloaf from the book, but at the moment I can't figure out where the recipe is...or did I see it online somewhere? Sometimes I get so confused...I'm looking through the binder at the moment, and I'm reading the recipe for the Cucumber Vinaigrette....has anyone tried that? I plan to make that tomorrow to use as salad dressing....anyway....is this binder where the recipe is? I see on the infinite menu planner that it says to see the recipe section, but now I don't see a recipe section. It's been a long day...I'm going to take a shower, then sit on the couch and look through all my stuff again. I'm going to try to get through this week with baby steps...one hour at a time. On Thursday I have to have surgery to remove 2 cysts on my face and 1 on my wrist, so I can't have food or water after 10:30 am. (the surgery is scheduled for 4 pm) I guess that will mess up my schedule, but at least I know I won't be cheating! I hope all is well....I will check back later to see if anyone has posted. I guess I will weigh in tomorrow, but I'm not very confident that I lost any pounds or inches. I hope others have, though! Tinkerbell, signing off for now!

Tinkerbell again....
Just a quick note to say that while in the shower, I realized that I put the little recipe cards in the little compartment in the back of the binder and completely forgot all about them....I see now that that's where all the recipes were that I was remembering but couldn't find....it's amazing how a nice hot shower can clear your head..... ;D

Hi hi, I'm still here! I didn't get a chance to post last night 'cause I had problems with my ISP. However, I did weigh myself this morning and found a pleasant surprise, I lost! Even though I cheated so much mid-week, I'd still managed to keep to relatively the proper combinations of food so I guess the metabolism's doing better ;D I also just made the 4-alarm chili from the recipe cards (with a few modifications) and it sure smells good! The only problems is I desperately want to have some tortilla chips or hominey with it! It's also making me crave Mexican food (I adore corn tortillas) Anyway, let us know how the turkey meatloaf goes Tinkerbell! And where *did* everyone go? Ivana - who did still end up waking up later than planned but I was only 1 hour off (which is much better than sleeping through the entire morning!)

GUILTY....
I have met the enemy and surrendered...but am slowly planning my escape. This has been an extraordinarily tough week. It's my TOM and I don't think I've ever really struggled with food as much as in the past couple of days. To make matters worse, I went shopping yesterday with a friend. Not just normal shopping, living in the city means that one normally does not have a car. Car's cost too much to park ($350 and up) and it's a pain in the ass to have to move them everyday if you park them on the street PLUS the new price of a parking ticket in the city is $115.00 (unbelievable).... anyway, Patrick has a car...and volunteered to take me shopping. Shopping with him means a FULL day of hitting stores I don't normally have access to - Target (don't have one in Manhattan), BJ's Warehouse (like Costco) and Home Depot.... we started the day at Neptune's Diner... not your normal diner -but the best diner in Queen's - noted for their fabulous greek food.... (slip one).... THEN...had soda... and bought chocolate macadamia nuts (which have now given me a stomach ache...gee, how many do you have to eat to have that happen to you?... try the first tray...OMG... yes, the first tray.... the second tray is going to the antique store downstairs first thing tomorrow morning...)... this is also attributed to the fact that I had a date scheduled for this afternoon and he went to the Hamptons today - didn't call.... and didn't get back until late.... and of course, I'm pissed off...and am EATING.... I just had an apple with almond butter..yum... better than chocolate.... i feel like crap...and I'm sorry for going on and on... don't want to weight myself tomorrow.... but will...and will report the damage... BUT I will start again tomorrow.... so.... hopefully, everyone else is having a better day of it.... talk to you later. m

hi girls, I`m still here I had to take my friend back to miami on friday, so we did round trip in one day 4hrs each way,and sat. I had to work, needless to say I could`nt cook.these trips are killing me. I almost had to go back today but another friend was able to take her.I hate to complain, because compared to what she`s dealing with me being on plan seems so unimportant.but I have nothing to attack me potentially till sat so I hope to get 6 committed days, I did do 2out of 4 exercise days.and tinkerbell I made the cucumber dressing I did`nt like it, but hey try it maybe you will. I also take unsalted mustard, balsomic vinager, crushed garlic, and splenda and make my own,its very good . and Ivana you could put your chili over salad with a little homemade salsa, that will give you a lttle mexican flair.I`m going to wait till wed. to weigh. this week. I hope your all doing well.dutchess candy
